    Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory:

    Assistance Needed Locating Missing Tickfaw Juvenile

    Tangipahoa Parish – The Louisiana State Police (LSP) has issued a Level II Endangered/Missing Child Advisory on behalf of the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office for 15-year-old Bryce Michael Dufrene. He was last seen on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home on New Genessee Road in Tickfaw, Louisiana. He was discovered missing at approximately 6:00 a.m. today. LSP received the request to issue an alert at approximately 8:20 a.m. this morning. 

    Dufrene is a white male with hazel eyes and dark brown hair styled in a mullet. He is 5’6” tall and weighs approximately 234 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark brown shirt, jeans, and boots, and carrying a black backpack.

    Dufrene is believed to be traveling on foot in an unknown direction.

    Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Dufrene should immediately contact the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office at 985-747-9696 or call 911. All questions should be directed to the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office.

    March 6, 2026

    West Monroe Man Killed in Morehouse Parish Crash Morehouse Parish – On March 6, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Louisiana State Police Troop F responded to a one-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 599 at Bernie Turner Road. The crash claimed the life of 65-year-old Michael A. Hutson of West Monroe.The initial investigation revealed that a 2017 commercial vehicle, driven by Hutson, was southbound on Louisiana Highway 599. For reasons still under investigation, Hutson left the roadway, traveled down the ditch embankment and overturned. Hutson, who was not restrained, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. Routine toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.While not all crashes are survivable, proper use of seat belts can greatly decrease an occupant’s chance of death and may greatly reduce the extent of injury. Always ensuring every occupant is properly restrained can often mean the difference between life and death.
